Great quality product that I\\\'m enjoying everyday! Had to take dash apart to install, but not a big deal if you take your time.

2001 Ford escape review.

Works great. Only issue is that when the shuffle button on the radio is on, the other radio controls do not work properly.

It would be nice if it worked

Followed the simple instructions but never got the item working properly except that I could charge my iPhone. Called Tech Support and was told to reset the item\\\'s 2-8 switches press CD twice. I followed the instructions to the letter and still the item did not operate correctly.

Works Great

Installed on a 2001 explorer. Removed radio, plugged unit into back of radio ( MACH radio ) where the multi disk changer goes and connected that cable to the Ipodcarkit. pushed cables into dash, ran cable to passenger side and reinstalled radio. Result: Works great, no more interference from using a FM transmitter. Still have all functions on the steering wheel.

VERY VERY UPSET AND UN SATISFIED

I ordered the kit and the web page said nothing about not working with a 6 disk in dash cd changer. Once returned I was refunded my money minus a fee. I simply asked if there was a way around the restocking fee since the page didn\\\'t mention this wouldn\\\'t work (I even looked for the disclaimer because others had listed it) but I only got a reply claiming it was disclosed, I have the page bookmarked and it does not say anything about not being compatible. I know its only a few bucks but at this point it is principle. they always say if you are happy with a product you will tell 10 friends, if you are un happy you will tell 100... well guess what, all of my friends have ipods, and many of them hate their FM modulators.... I haven\\\'t pointed them in any directions but if I am not satisfied I know where I will tell them to stay away from.

Installation

Attach power wire to radio power by scraping away a small piece of the insulation around the wire and attach the ground to the track that the radio sits on.

If the item actually performed, I would have given it a five for installation, which was not difficult.

Ed @ November 26th, 2011

I still have everything hooked up as before. The only difference is that the ipodcarkit is now inline between the radio and the multi disk changer. I don\\\'t have a cartridge in the changer so it does not seem to matter about leaving it hooked up so you maintain steering wheel controls.

Installed just fine, just didnt work.
